There is only one Affirming church in all of Labrador

Dear United Church,

I'm proud to explain to my friends that everyone is welcome to experience God's love, and that we celebrate everyone's unique self! I am fortunate enough to be a part of an Affirming Congregation. A congregation that not just accepts everyone, but celebrates everyone.

Not all members have this opportunity. Only 6% of all UCC churches* are noted as officially Affirming. Some would say that's enough, and that if people want to attend an Affirming United community they can simply drive to one. But there's only ONE Affirming Church in all of Labrador. So saying that we are doing enough as a national church is simply not justified nor true.
