About an apology

Dear United Church,

I worry that this apology, if it is given, will be motivated by many people who for the most part should be the recipients of the apology. Judging from the Iridesce meeting that I attended, and I am guessing that many of the meetings will be attended by similar people: those who are gay or people close to those who are gay. Those people are looking for an apology but should not be voting on whether they get one. The process to attain this “so called” apology is flawed, however well meaninged!
