Please speak up

In order to fully realize this apology the church needs to not only educate those who are willing to learn and those who are already accepting of the LGBTQ2 community, but to also educate those who are closed off initially. In order to be fully affirming the church needs to challenge intolerance.

People need to be educated lovingly and kindly, and provided with a place to start if they wish to learn. Homophobia cannot be allowed to fester unseen in the church because there are some unwilling to cause a scene.

All that it takes is one conversation to set somebody on the path to becoming affirming, so if you can please speak up.
