Dear Ken, I read your story...
Dear Ken,
I read your story — your and John’s story — and I am overwhelmed. It was as if all the “rules of civility,” all the respect and grace and love with which we are called to live, were completely ignored and/or discarded.
I read your story — a part of your life, and realized that I was reading only a fraction of the pain you might have felt. I was angry. I was hurt. I was disappointed in someone’s inhumanity to you.
I am grateful for your courage. I am grateful for your strength of character and the strength of your love that would not be extinguished by anyone or anything.
You bear the light of Christ, and it is shining for all to see. Thanks for living a gift of hope for our future.
In Christ — with respect, love, and car,
Carol
